Pamoja Initiative is a vibrant, community-led organization dedicated to preserving African heritage while empowering youth through the transformative power of cultural dance. Rooted in the values of unity, identity, and resilience, we believe that culture is more than tradition it’s a tool for education, prevention, and positive change.

Our name, Pamoja Swahili for Together reflects our commitment to working hand in hand with families, elders, and communities to create a future where every young person feels seen, supported, and proud of their roots.
Celebrating African culture
Under the visual and performing arts program, a group of artists within Pamoja Initiative called Shangaza Performers was formed to carry on the role of promoting and teaching our African culture.
We believe this will work towards fulfilling our children’s identity.
